New Chair
We got a baby papasan chair for Sophie. It vibrates and plays music. She really seems to like it most of the time. Laura and Connor are also really like it! Laura is trying to sit in it every time I turn around! They both play with the button that turns it on all the time.
Veggies
Our vegetable garden is continuing to grow and we are starting to be able to enjoy some of the fruits of hard work! We have been eating peas for several weeks now. The plants are close to 8 feet tall. I can't reach them anymore and Patrick has to stand on a stool to pick the peas. There are so many that Patrick has been taking them to work to share. The other night, we harvested the first of Connor's BLUE potatoes. They were actually more of a purple colour. They looked really gross all mashed up for mashed potatoes (kinda' like playdoh) but tasted delicious. I have been eating the zucchini but no one else seems to like it. The tomatoes that we planted in the lawn aren't doing as well as I had hoped but are starting to get some tomatoes finally.

A Busy Two Weeks!
The last two weeks have been very full. We had a wonderful visit to my parents house. Connor and Laura loved all the attention they received. Their new best friends were Antie Dee and Uncle "Bwock" (Brock). Connor and Laura spent several days making stone soup and inviting everyone to the feast they were preparing.
They also enjoyed Granddad's dirt slide. On Canada day, we went to a Knight's of Columbus BBQ with my Mom and Dad. The family who hosted it live on a large farm and have a beautiful home. I didn't know anyone there but everyone was really nice and adored the children. All the ladies wanted to hold Sophie and many people were impressed at Connor and Laura's ability to entertain themselves. Emma came up to visit on the day before we left. We had a really nice afternoon. The weather was nicest it had been our whole visit. We went down to the beach and let Connor and Laura play in the water while Sophie slept in the stroller. Later in the afternoon, Connor went sailing with Granddad. I did dive in the lake a few times. The water is still rather cold though. Connor even jumped off the end of the dock in a life jacket.
On the fourth, we came home. We were home long enough to unload the car and stretch our legs then we headed over to Ryan and Carri's for a BBQ. It was sure nice not to have to worry about dinner after traveling all day.
After it got dark,we went over to Rob's house to light off fire works. We took Connor and Sophie with us but Laura decide she would rather stay with Gramma and read stories. We had lit off some smoke bombs, a tank and some little hens that shot sparks while we were at Ryan's and she was terrified. On Saturday, Carri and I took the kids to the zoo. It was a nice day and Connor and Laura were really interested in all the animals. Laura especially liked the monkeys and called them all George! Connor wanted to see the Lions bu since we put him in charge of the map, we took the most roundabout way to get there.
Today we went to Forest park and they had just opened the new sprinkler park. We didn't know it was going to be opened and hadn't brought a change of clothes but that didn't stop Connor and Laura from enjoying the water!
